FAQ
- What are the school hours?
- School starts at 8.45am and ends at 4.00pm. There is a 20 minute small break and a 45 minute lunch break during the school day.
- Is there a school uniform?
- There is no school uniform, however, students must adhere to an acceptable dress code.
- Is there school transport?
- The school has engaged a van service that provides transportation before and after school. Parents contract individually with this service.
- What is the teacher / student ratio?
- QSI works on a teacher / student ratio of 1:10, however, the average class size at QSI Malta ranges from 3 to 7 students.
- How many different nationalities are represented at the school?
- Presently, there are 15 different nationalities – British (English), Italian, Armenian, South African, Swedish, Norwegian, Dutch, Austrian, Palestinian, South Korean, German, Greek, Turkish, Russian & Maltese.
- Our child does not speak English. Will QSI Malta still accept them?
- Yes. We offer Intensive English lessons to these students at no extra cost. When the student is ready, they are integrated into the QSI curriculum.
- If my child is advanced / weaker in an area, what provisions are made?
- Weaker students are given additional help, which may include extra lessons at no further cost. Advanced students are challenged either by going through the curriculum at a faster pace, by giving the student work to do at a higher level or by giving the student the option to participate in an online course under the supervision of a teacher.
- Apart from the registration, capital fund and tuition fees, are there any other costs involved?
- Parents do not need to buy text books as these are loaned to the students by the school. Study trips and extra-curricular activities are included in the tuition fees. If there is a school trip, parents will be asked to pay for it.
- Do you offer trial days to students who may be interested in attending?
- Yes. Students are encouraged to join in classes for a day to try out the QSI educational system. An appointment with the Director can be made.
