Events and Activities Throughout the course of the year, QSI Malta sponsors a series of educational events and activities. These are connected to the curriculum and help the students and their families build community. The following are samples: - Curriculum inclusion of the Iditarod – last great dog sled race across Alaska (Geography, Science, Math, Art, Writing)
- Field trip to the Caravaggio exposition in Valetta (Art/History)
- Speakers Bureau – guest speakers from different professions (All Subjects)
- School lock-in (overnight social activity for older students)
- Harvest Festival/Barbeque for students and their parents (Social)
- Enrollment in the National Fitness Center (Physical Education)
- Field trip to the Museum of Antiquities (History/Art)
- Personal yearlong research projects – topics and medium selected by the students (Independent Endeavor)
Field trip to Ghar Dalam – The Dark Cave (Cultural Studies)- Going to the cinema to see “Elizabeth” (English Literature)
- Viewing the film, “Gandhi” (Modern World History)
- Genetic experiments using live hamsters (Science)
- Class trip to Sicily to visit the Greek architecture (History/Art/Mathematics/Science)
- Art projects corresponding to history topics (History/Art)
- Advisory – weekly group counseling/planning sessions with students
