European Computer Driver’s License (ECDL)

The ECDL is a computer literacy certification program which is recognized worldwide. It covers seven areas of computer literacy, requiring theory and practice in the following:

• Concepts of Information Technology
• Using the Computer and Managing Files
• Word Processing
• Spreadsheets
• Database
• Presentation
• Information and Communication

QSI Malta is a licensed teaching and testing site for the ECDL.

Online Courses

QSI offers students the opportunity to take online courses within areas of interest or within the curriculum. These courses are arranged on an individual basis through the Office of Curriculum in Yemen, and can range from advanced classes to developing computer games. Students are assigned instructors with whom they can e-mail or talk with directly. They are then monitored by staff at the school to guarantee progress and answer questions. QSI works with a variety of online services (e.g. The Florida Virtual Academy) to make these courses available to its students.
